The very first score includes “patient outcomes,” which will be a conglomerate of hospital-acquired central-line-associated bloodstream illness (CLABSI) rates, select surgical-site-infection SSI prices, 30-day readmission prices (for severe MI AMI, congestive heart failure CHF, and pneumonia), and eight “Patient Safety Indicators” (derived from definitions through the Agency for Healthcare analysis & Quality AHRQ, and includes force ulcers, pneumothorax, CLABSI, accidental puncture damage during surgery, and four postoperative problems, including VTE, sepsis, hip break, and wound dehiscence).
